ALASKITERS OSOW Kite Fly
When: Sunday October 10th 10am-???
Where: Cuddy Family Park
One Sky One World is an annual kite fly held on the 2nd Sunday of October, annually. We will be out with the canopy and grill going, so bring some grilling food and a coat, as it's likely to be colder than usual this year. (So much for global warming, huh? You can get more info on OSOW at http://www.oneskyoneworld.org
Kite For HOPE:

Where: Anchorage City Church
AlasKiters has teamed up with HOPE Community Services and now has a weekly kite event to help get their clients out and about flying kites. We invite everyone to come join us with Alaska's greatest service organization. A limited number of small kites are provided for use there. Contact the club president for more info on our newest endeavor. Bring your kites to show off and bring a friend. Donations for this ongoing event are accepted and appreciated at the event tables. Anchorage City Church is located at Minnesota and 100th. Feel free to call or write them also for allowing the use of their great space for our folks.
ALASKITERS STATE FAIR!
When: Saturday & Sunday August 28th & 29th
           Saturday & Sunday September 4th - 6th
Where: Palmer State Fairgrounds
This is our 2nd annual state fair kite expo! We have both weekends, August 28th & 29th, and then again September 4th - 6th. We will be in the large field behind the grandstand. Large kites are best for visability, but bring whichever you want to fly. We have slots for 10 people each day, so get ahold of me as soon as possible if you want to participate!!! We will (hopefully) have a prize each day for the person who has their kite up the longest.
